Amanda A. Cardoso (Principal Investigator)
Assistant Professor of Crop Physiology
Amanda is a Biologist with Master's and PhD in Plant Physiology. She is broadly interested in understanding how woody and herbaceous crops function during challenging conditions, especially in the context of climate change.
Matthew (Matt) Taggart
Research Assistant
Matt has a BS in Environmental Science from Slippery Rock University and a MS in Soil Physics from NC State. His research interests are water use in turf grasses, soil nitrous oxide emissions, and multimodal stress detection in maize.

Eduardo Haverroth
Post-Doc
Eduardo is an agronomist with a MS in Crop Sciences. He is pursuing a PhD in Plant Physiology in Brazil and is currently spending a year in our lab as a visiting scholar. His research interests are herbaceous crops and hormone regulation.

Leonardo Oliveira
Post-Doc
Leonardo is an agronomist with a MS in Plant Physiology. He is pursuing a PhD in Plant Physiology in Brazil and is currently spending a year in our lab as a visiting scholar. His research interests are plant stress physiology, tree physiology, and plant anatomy.

Moab Andrade
Post-Doc
Moab is an agronomist with a PhD in Plant Physiology. His research interests are plant stress physiology, plant hydraulics, molecular biology, and agricultural biotechnology.

Emma Simpson
Master's Student
Emma has BS in Biochemistry and Plant Biology from NC State University and started her Master's in Crop Sciences during Fall 22. Her research interests are agriculture and life sciences.
